While school may have started, there are officially three weeks of summer still left! Get out and enjoy the warm weather while it lasts by joining us at one of our many events this month. Golfers can enjoy the Scunny-Elvis Golf Classic, and beachgoers can soak up the last bit of sun and sand at our Sunfest and Beach Bash events in Ocean City, MD!

Children’s House by the Sea Reunites
Cousins and Introduces Friends
The first week in August at the Children’s House by the Sea was common in many ways: all five units were booked with families, there was a perfect stretch of 84° and sunny days predicted, and we had a great Monday Night BBQ planned to welcome the incoming families. During the BBQ, we noticed two families that seemed to be right at home with each other. When our Ocean City Program Coordinator introduced himself, he was astonished to learn that the families were related, and they both had a child with a serious illness. Read More
The Results Are In!
Believe Kids Cheer Ravens on to Opener Win
Thanks to an anonymous donor, we were able to send a group of children and their families to the Ravens’ first preseason game! They enjoyed the game from the luxury of a suite and got a chance to survey the field before game time. Their fan presence was apparent, as the Ravens topped the Saints 30-27 in the last quarter of the game!
Target and Under Armour Donate Time and Talents
We hosted two great volunteer groups at our hospital housing facilities recently! Employees from Target and Under Armour cleaned rooms and spruced up the gardens and exterior areas of the Believe In Tomorrow House at St. Casimir and the Children’s House at Johns Hopkins. Thank you for offering our families a chance to really enjoy the last stretch of warm weather outside at our hospital homes!
