The Believe In Tomorrow Children’s House at Johns Hopkins is the premier provider of overnight housing for families at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. Right across the street from the hospital, this housing facility is a convenient home away from home for these families. Help make their experience the best one possible by volunteering here!

Front Desk Greeter

The Believe In Tomorrow Children’s House is always looking for friendly volunteers to work at the front desk, answering phones and helping to direct families. This is a perfect position for students.

Family Activities

Bring a smile to the faces of our children and families by hosting a fun activity for all to enjoy. A few examples include arts and crafts projects, holiday-themed events, marshmallow roasting, and magic shows. Please contact us with your ideas!

Maintenance Team

We need a variety of skilled workers that can work off a list of general maintenance needs to keep the house in great shape. If you’re great at certain tasks (plumbing, electricity, etc.) please contact us to join the volunteer maintenance team!

Deep Cleaning & Laundry

The Believe In Tomorrow Children’s House welcomes anyone willing to lend a hand by deep cleaning rooms, common areas, and kitchens, or by helping with extra laundry.

Gardeners

In the spring and summer, the house is accented with colorful blooming flowers in the backyard garden and front flower boxes. Got a green thumb? We need your gardening expertise to help keep our gardens looking beautiful!

Believe In Tomorrow House At St. Casimir

The Believe In Tomorrow House at St. Casimir is a house of seven individual suites dedicated solely to pediatric bone marrow transplant patients. Treatment often requires patients to stay within a 15-minute drive of the hospital for 60 to 120 days. Read below to find ways to help keep residents of this house – located in Baltimore’s Canton neighborhood – comfortable.

Family Supper Program

Prepare a “grab-and-go” meal for our families to enjoy! Families staying here may often not be at the house during mealtime, but appreciate coming back to a pre-prepared meal at a time convenient to their schedule. Volunteers often may not interact directly with families when preparing family suppers.

Housekeeping

Join our team of cleaners and help keep the Believe In Tomorrow House at St. Casimir clean and sparkling for our pediatric bone marrow transplant patients and their families. This is an as needed position and can include jobs like deep cleaning apartments, power washing the decks, and maintaining clean and organized common areas.

Cookie Baking

Treat the families of the Believe In Tomorrow House at St. Casimir to delicious homemade goodies.

Gardeners

The gated courtyard is one of the most welcoming features here. Help keep it looking beautiful throughout the year with your gardening knowledge and skills.
