20th Annual Port to Fort 6k Race

This year was another great success and we absolutely appreciate everyone’s support. Twenty years ago, Believe In Tomorrow Children’s Foundation and Home Depot partnered to create the Port to Fort 6k Race. What started as a grassroots effort to raise funds and awareness for Believe In Tomorrow has grown into an event that draws thousands of participants, including individuals, families, community groups, and members of the U.S. Armed Services, all running in support of a great cause! Port to Fort FAQs
(Many of the answers to your questions can be found in the Runner Handbook)

Q: Where does the race begin?
A: 
The race begins near Coke Field (1101 E. Fort Avenue), at the corner of Whetstone Way and E. Fort Avenue, just in front of the Locust Point Fire Station.

Q: Is parking available?
A: 
Yes, parking is available behind the old Phillips building on E. Fort Avenue. There is a large parking lot and a brand new 600 space parking garage available for your use the day of the event.

Q: Are walking strollers and/or jogging strollers allowed?
A: Yes, strollers and jogging strollers are allowed. We do ask that anyone with a stroller not line up at the very front of the start line.

Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the race.

Q: When does online registration end?
A: Online registration will end at 8:00 am on Thursday, April 21st. However, any online registrations between 12:00 AM Tuesday and 8:00 AM Thursday will have to pickup up their race packets the morning of the event on Saturday, April 23. *You may still register for the race in person at packet pick-up, or the morning of the event for $40.

Q: When is packet pick-up?
A: Packet pick-up will be held on Thursday, April 21 and Friday, April 22  from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at The Greene Turtle at McHenry Row. *Only those who have registered online before 8:00 AM on Tuesday, April 19 will be able to pick up their race packets at packet pick-up.
